Best online store builder for 2014-2015

What is the best online store builder (2014-2015),

If you are reading this post then you must be thinking about starting your own online store and now you want to know what is the best ecommerce or online store builder that could hanlde all of your requirements from sales, products, payments etc...

There are currently so many online store builders available such as wordpress, magento, bigcommerce, mrshopp, shopify to name a few.

So choosing the right platform for your online shop could be dounting. especially if this is the first time that you are going to start an online store/shop.

So, lets compare a few of these platforms....

mrshopp.com

This platform is new and has alot to catch up with some of the older platforms. however, there are some nice features that none of the other platforms have and/or could offer!

the most important factor for any start up online shop is to first, find a reliable platform and second, SAVE MONEY or sped as little as possible. well, if that is you, then mrshopp.com is exactly what you are looking for.

As I am wrting this post OCT 2014, social commerce (facebook commerce) is a must have feature for any online store and by using a social commerce, you could benefit from free advertising and selling your products directly on your facebook page.

well, guess what?

mrhopp.com offers a built in feature Free of charge that does exactly that.

Most if not all of the online store builders will charge you a fee (small percentage) of each sale on your store which is a bit naughty. But mrshopp doesn't charge any fee's and all the transactions are direct through your own PayPal.

One of the great things about mrshopp.com platform is that anyone can build an online store even if you do not have any knowledge of coding.

There's a market section to purchase templates for your store or you can upload your own template(s) to customize your store the way you want to.

so if i was going to give mrshopp.com platform 1 to 10 rating, I would give them 9 out of 10 for providing everything ready out of the box and also for providing the same service as many other platforms do for much cheaper price.

Shopify

This is another greate paltform that you can create your online store with. it has so many features that would help you to build your online store.

There's a market section to purchase templates for your store or you can upload your own template(s) to customize your store the way you want to.

The only downside about this platform is at times, you could face some down time of the server and this won't really help if you are trying to run a business. Also, their prices are very high. so they would get 7 out of 10 from me.

Bigcommerce

Yet, another good online store platform but don't be fooled by some of the stuff that they say on their website. so I suggest you do your hoework before you attempt to start using this platform. also, their prices are not that different than some of other Expensive platforms out there. so they would only get 5 out of 10 from me.

Magento

I am not going to get into too much details about magento... but one word of advise about this platform,

If this is your first time that you are going to start an online store, then simply keep away from magento. some people might disagree with me on this but there are a few things that you need to know about this platform,

Negatives points

1- very difficult  to operate admin  panel.
2- very difficult to understand code (XML/PHP based)
3- expensive add ons and 70% of the times you get no support at all from teh add-ons developers.
4- no support from magento community in case something goes wrong with the platform. so you would need to hire someone to resolve issues as and when they happen and trust me, they will happen.
5- extra costs for a good hosting/server.

Good Points

Oh well, this platform is good if you a large pocket and want to start huge too.

this platform only gets 5 out of 10.

Wordpress

This isn't really a platform for ecommerce and in fact it was not designed to be used as an ecommerce or online store platform. wordpress is a platform built for blogs but due to the fact that it is SEO friendly, developers have decided to expand the use of this platform and it has become what is known as woocommerce.

I have always suggested to my clients to stay away from wordpress for many reasons.

I am not going to rant off about how bad the wordpress is and I will try to stick to the topic of this blog post, but if you are serious about your business, then simply keep away from wordpress.

Conclusion:

well,  the conclusion is to use a platform that is not going to put a hole in your pocket, has great features and everything comes out of the box.

so my numebr one choice would be https://mrshopp.com
